Tasmania’s newest four-day guided walk in the magnificent Maria Island National Park off Tasmania's east coast. 

This gentle walk is a delightful blend of convict heritage, abundant wildlife, elegant accommodation set in the backdrop of one of Australia's most beautiful and tranquil islands. 

The trip starts and finishes in Hobart and includes two nights in superb, twin share, beachfront camps and a final night in a heritage listed Bernacchi House in the historic convict settlement precinct of Darlington. 

In small groups (max 8 guests plus 2 guides) we walk in the world’s largest tall Tasmanian Blue Gum forests, ramble along magnificent beaches and sparkling oceans and then at night we dine in comfort enjoying the best of Tasmania's renowned gourmet delights. 

The wildlife viewing is superb as Maria Island is a sanctuary for many rare and unusual animals including rare Tasmanian kangaroos and wallabies, wombats and echidnas, an Australian fur seal colony and bird watching (Maria is home to 10 of Tasmania's 11 endemic bird species including 50% of the worlds remaining forty spotted pardalotes). 

Guests carry only light packs (8kg) and we walk at a leisurely pace covering thirty kilometers over four days on gentle paths or firm beaches.
