This is our Classical Wine Tour which takes you to some of the best wineries in Australia as well as some of the best scenic drives.
It is fully flexible so if you want to spend some more time in one area, let us know. We can also add pre- and post tour accommodation.

Day 1 - Your tour starts in Adelaide, from where it is a short drive to the Barossa, (76km) where accommodation is booked at the luxury boutique hotel, Peppers Hermitage.
Day 2 - In Barossa you’ll meet some great characters and world class wine makers and taste some of the world’s best Shiraz. The wineries you should visit includes Charles Melton, Heritage, Peter Lehmann’s, Penfoldsand St Hallett.
Day 4 - Spend a day tasting in the McLaren Vale with Primo, Wirra Wirra and Coriole. Based in Adelaide you have time to explore the city and it’s galleries as well as restaurants.
Day 5 - Head South-East for the premium wine region of Coonawarra where the famous “terra rossa” soil produces Cabernets with great depth of flavour, pungent herbaceous Shiraz and white wines with clear focused fruit and racy acidity. With an early start around 0700 you could reach the Coonawarra district (382 km) at lunchtime giving you the afternoon to taste wineries like Balnaves, Rymill and Wynns.and finish the day with a dinner at your lodge; Chardonnay Lodge.
Day 6 - Continue to Casterton and Hamilton. Reaching Dunkeld you turn left into The Grampians National Park through spectacular scenery to arrive at Great Western around lunchtime.(284 km) BW is one of only two wineries in Western Victoria to have survived from the 19th Century, when Victoria was the major wine producing area of Australia. In the afternoon continue to Moonambel ( 95 km) and stay in the comfortable wine-estate hotel at Warrenmang.
 
Day 7 – An easy drive to Ararat and Mount Langi Ghiran winery this morning. After a visit to this superb winery there is an easy 2 hours drive to Melbourne and another 45 minutes to Yarra staying at the 5* Chateau Yering.
